Privacy Policy
Thank you for using My BF's Agenda ("the App"). Your privacy — and your pet's — matters deeply to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
Information we collect
None. My BF's Agenda does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All data you enter (pet names, photos, events, vet visits, notes, etc.) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
We have no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising networks. Your data stays where it belongs — with you.
Third-party services
The App offers an optional in-app purchase called "Pawsome Advisor" that uses the Anthropic Claude API to provide AI-powered features such as symptom guidance, diet suggestions, and history insights.
To use these AI features, you provide your own Anthropic API key, which is stored securely in your device's iOS Keychain. We do not have access to your API key or to any data you send through Anthropic's services.
When you use the AI features, your queries (such as pet information and symptoms) are sent directly from your device to Anthropic's servers. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle data.
Data storage
All pet data, events, photos, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that store your data. If you delete the App, all your data will be permanently removed from your device.
If iCloud sync is enabled by Apple's system frameworks for SwiftData in a future update, your data may be backed up to your personal iCloud account under your Apple ID — never to us.
Permissions we request
The App requests the following permissions, which you can grant or deny in your device's Settings at any time:
- Notifications — to send reminders for upcoming pet appointments and care.
- Microphone & Speech Recognition — for voice input when adding events (optional).
- Photo Library — to add a photo of your pet to their profile (optional).
In-app purchases
The App offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase ("Pawsome Advisor") for $2.99 USD. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any of your payment information.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the App does not collect any personal information from anyone, this is naturally protected by our design.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, traditional data-subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are simply met by the App itself: you have full control of all your data, and deleting the App removes everything.
Changes to this policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or in legal requirements. When we do, we'll post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
